What disclosure means

When content is sponsored (paid, gifted, or otherwise incentivized), viewers must be clearly informed. Disclosure helps audiences understand commercial relationships and may be required by law and by platform policies.

Minimum requirements (MVP)

For pilot campaigns on ElevateCSX, we expect at least the following:

  • A clear, prominent disclosure in the content (e.g., “Sponsored”, “Paid partnership”, “Ad”).
  • Use platform-specific disclosure tools when available (e.g., YouTube “Paid promotion” toggle).
  • Follow local advertising regulations for your country/region and audience.

YouTube guidance (common patterns)

Common, acceptable disclosure patterns for YouTube include:

  • Enable the “Paid promotion” / paid partnership setting when applicable.
  • Include a short verbal disclosure near the start (when feasible).
  • Add “#ad” or equivalent in the description when required by law/policy.

How ElevateCSX enforces this (MVP)

For MVP, creators must confirm disclosure before submitting proof. Sponsors may request revisions if disclosure is missing or unclear. Repeated violations may result in account restrictions.
